Active ingredient
Indoxacarb — the same MetaActive™ active that made Advion the world's leading cockroach bait, formulated here as a highly attractive gel that targets a broad spectrum of ant species, including sweet-feeding ants.
Why it eliminates the whole colony
The ants you see are no more than 10% of the colony. The queen and larvae stay hidden inside walls or underground — and while the queen lives, she keeps producing thousands of workers.
Advion Ant Gel exploits the strongest behaviour in ants: food sharing. Worker ants feed on the gel, return to the nest, then feed the queen, the larvae and other workers mouth to mouth (trophallaxis). The effect spreads through the colony from the inside out.
The gradual action is by design — if the gel killed instantly, the ant would die before reaching the nest and the queen would survive.
Ant species controlled
Effective against most pest ant species common in the UAE, including sweet-feeding ants, pavement ants, ghost ants, pharaoh ants, Argentine ants and odorous house ants.
Where to apply
Place small dots directly on the ant trail — not randomly:
- Along the trail you can see them walking
- Near entry points: window cracks, around doors, pipe entries
- Kitchen counter edges and behind cabinets
- Under the sink and near sources of moisture
- In the garden: near soil nests and along tree trails
Dosage: a lentil-sized dot roughly every metre along an active trail. Several small dots beat one large blob.
⚠️ The most common mistake
Don't kill the ants swarming the gel. Within hours you'll see dozens gathering around each dot — it can look like the problem got worse. It's proof it's working: those ants are the carriers taking the bait to the queen. Killing them or wiping the gel stops the treatment at its most important moment.
What's in the pack
Each 30g syringe includes a plunger and applicator tip.
Never spray repellent insecticide near the gel — and don't wipe the trail with strong cleaners first, as that erases the pheromone trail leading other ants to the bait.
